Check out the amazing photos from Merry and Robert’s woodland chic wedding in Sedona! The couple originally met on the job while they worked at an Apple store. The proposal came after Merry and Robert had been dating for over three years. Robert recorded Merry’s 3-year-old son asking his mom to marry Robert. Robert had planned on showing it to Merry while on a trip to Jamaica, but things went (adorably!) awry. A few days before the trip, Merry’s son accidentally showed the video to his mom. Robert was forced to propose right then and there in the living room! Merry said yes, and the couple ended up spending the trip as an engaged couple.
Brian Minson of Minson Weddings photographed this gorgeous wedding held in Oak Creek Canyon. The gurgling creek and twinkling lights amidst the tranquil forest provided the perfect backdrop for this magical day. The fairytale wedding photos encourage us to imagine sparkling forest fairies and dancing nymphs gracing the beautiful ceremony. Merry’s DIY touches brought a personal aura to the wedding, as many things were crafted by her and her friends and family. The baby’s breath bouquets and boutonnieres, flower crown, tiered cake, wedding favors, and centerpieces were all beautifully done in DIY fashion. The reception was much more laid back, with an open bar and live band to make the guests feel at home. All in all, this DIY woodland chic wedding was a stunning example of a magical Arizona wedding.
