One of the most popular ways to meet someone new and outside of your usual crowd is through mutual friends. Which brings us to how Halle met Steven. While working in Chicago, Halle had a coworker, JP, who had become a good friend. JP and Halle had dinner plans one night when JP asked if he could bring his roommate along at the last minute. Halle, not thinking much of it, said she didn’t mind. Little did she know that her breath would be taken away the minute JP’s roommate walked in.
Since that night, Steven and Halle became friends and then more shortly after. The only thing getting in the way of their new relationship was Halle’s plan to move out west since they didn’t want to set the expectation for future due to the distance. Although Halle did move out west, the decision against doing distance didn’t last long at all as both of them caved after one week apart. Although the distance was a barrier, it wasn’t long until Halle moved back to Chicago! Which brings us to the exciting part…the proposal!
Steven had originally planned on asking Halle to be his wife while they were on Christmas in St. Louis but he ended up going with a different plan. The couple had reservations to dinner and tickets to see one of their favorite artists right after one night and the mood just felt right. Steven handed Halle a beautiful early Christmas card and followed it with the big question! After Halle said yes, of course, the couple spent the night celebrating with great music and champagne.
During their wintertime Sedona engagement session, snow softly started to fall around Steven and Halle beautiful captured by Amy Bluestar Photography. Their photos really helped capture the true love that this couple shares and will continue to share throughout their life together.
