When beginning to plan your wedding, you may initially think of inviting everyone who means something special to you and your partner, or every person who has made a memorable impact on your lives. The first people to come to mind are usually close family members including parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and cousins. We imagine our best friends from college, or maybe even your closest coworker who so happened to be one of your biggest support systems through the wedding planning process. One last being that is usually left off the list though is our unconditionally loving furry companions!
Some couples choose to leave them at home, while others can’t imagine having a celebration without them, which is completely understandable! We can’t help but think their adorable faces will just enhance the mood of the day or night. Although we are crazy about our pets, we have to think of the pros and cons associated with their presence in our weddings. They can make for the most memorable photos, but can also cause the photo taking to be prolonged while we get them to cooperate and pose! They can have their own special bowtie with matching florals to your bouquet, but you may see they enjoy the taste of the flowers more than they enjoy wearing them! Most of your guests will either want to pet them or stay back, considering their outfit choices or potential allergies. You will no doubt love having them with you, but you will also have an extra thing to worry about on the big day. Such as who will get them to the venue, will they only be there for the ceremony, and how will they get back home. With all the worries though, you have to go with what you think is best for you. If that means having your pet along then they should be added to the guest list!
