DePoy Studios captured this beautiful sunset wedding at Desert Botanical Garden of Betsy and Bill. The couple originally met through a mutual friend and soon began dating as their love caught fire. They dated for three years before Bill decided to propose to Betsy on his birthday – what an awesome birthday gift! Bill and Betsy started planning all the details and necessities for their Arizona wedding. They were engaged for over 10 months before they finally tied the knot in front of 60 family members and friends.
With a backdrop of the setting sun, Bill and Betsy said their “I dos” in the Steel Herb Garden site at the Desert Botanical Garden. Twinkling lights lit the space overhead as guests gathered to share the special day. The couple’s favorite part of the ceremony was lighting the unity candle, as it took concentration and teamwork to light it – representative of marriage itself. The reception was simply magical and held in the Webster Auditorium. Bill and Betsy danced to “Rose of My Heart” by Johnny Cash, opening up the dance floor for everyone else to join. The last dance of the night was with Betsy and her son – the two shared a very special moment. The night ended with a limousine sweeping the newlyweds off to their honeymoon suite and afterparty.
