Proposal: While the official proposal happened over a meal of breakfast for dinner, Julia and Tyler agree the real proposal happened a few months prior. During a day date to Page Springs Cellars, where the couple reconnected after being high school acquaintances, they enjoyed a bright rosé down by the creek when Tyler casually said “I was just watching you walk down that pathway, and I couldn’t help but imagine you coming towards me in a white dress.” “We started making plans after that!” Julia stated.
Ceremony: The couple planned a beautiful sunrise Sedona wedding captured by Jane in the Woods. “We felt like this was the first day of the rest of our lives together, and we wanted to begin our marriage with the practice of greeting each day as if it’s our last,” Julia said. Instead of a bouquet, Julia carried an antique French oil lamp. With it they started their candlelight ceremony with family and friends showcasing how love is spread by one small intentional act at a time.
Reception: Surrounded by the beautiful vineyard, guests enjoyed specialty wine cocktails featuring local peaches and fresh lavender, as well as a Mediterranean-inspired brunch created by the venue’s Chef Bryan Nowicki. For their cake, Julia made her grandmother’s coffee cake recipe into a gluten-free version served with blackberries picked at Oak Creek Canyon the day before.
