Jessica and Jon decided to celebrate Christmas a few days late and met up on December 27. After a yummy dinner of pot roast, Jon suggested they open gifts. Jessica knew she wanted a calligraphy kit, but she was caught off guard by a large, heavy present. Opening it up, she discovered a smaller box and several heavy rocks. Inside the smaller box was a ring, and Jon immediately proposed!
Silk ribbons, succulents and antler sheds were prominent features setting the mood of this summer Sedona wedding. Towering Sedona mesas were accented by peach, cream and sunset florals to give a lively tone to the affair captured by Jane in the Woods. During the ceremony, Jon and Jessica braided three cords into one rope symbolizing the couple being bonded together. “I wanted a symbolic representation of our matrimony,” stated Jessica.
Floor-to-ceiling windows shed sunny rays into the beautifully adorned reception hall. Simple yet romantic linens and accents made way for the desert’s elegance to captivate guests. The bride’s two sisters gave a joint speech, with the younger one being only 10. “Usually Madeline is shy, but she really surprised me,” remarked Jessica about her favorite moment of the reception. Guests danced all night and saw the couple off with a sparkler exit under the glowing Sedona stars.
