Arizona’s plethora of hiking trails paired with the endless amount of sunshine-filled days is what draws the Minnesota-based couple, Alex and Billie, to the Southwest. The two share a love for the freedom of activities that warm weather generously provides, which is just one of the reasons they chose Arizona to be their engagement location as well as the home to their Southwestern destination wedding.
The couple initially connected when Billie helped Alex at the bank while she was working, which made a lasting impression on Alex. Then, when Alex later spotted Billie at the campus gym, he knew he had to formally introduce himself. They grew closer by flirting at the gym between workouts and basketball games until Alex took their relationship a step further by asking Billie to be his date to his fraternity formal. After three years of dating, Alex planned a romantic proposal on Bell Rock in Sedona, where he had previously discovered his desire to make Billie his wife. It was the perfect place where they could have the private moment enjoying the stunning views and reflect on the journey they had taken together.
Alex and Billie confidently chose Kelsey Finland of Jane in the Woods to plan their intimate bohemian style ceremony at the Desert Botanical Garden, including 25 of their closest friends and family members. The bride chose an elegant dress with lace details which stood out beautifully next to the blue gowns worn by the wedding party and the groom’s refined suit. The dinner was held at Capital Grille in Scottsdale, with the reception ending at an Airbnb home in Paradise Valley. Their love was made memorable by Jane in the Woods, along with picture-ready hair and makeup artistry by Lidia Win of Bridal4theWin.
