The unpredictability of life can bring pleasant surprises, and you never know when true love will find you. When Irec and Danielle first met, the future husband and wife were working together as crew members on a commercial production in Chicago. Out of everyone on set, Danielle and Irec were the last to take a lunch break. The two ended up having a surprise first date when they sat down together to eat. Danielle’s wrist tattoo sparked the interest of Irec, which he discovered was a meaningful tribute to her brother who had passed away four months before. They shared had an emotional connection immediately and before they knew it, the unexpected first date became the moment that ultimately would bring them together. After five years together, Irec took Danielle to stay at the Wythe Hotel in New York City to spend time together relaxing and to celebrate the Valentine’s Day holiday. On the last night of the trip, Irec proposed to Danielle after sharing a bottle of wine on the rocks of the East River Bank. Danielle said yes, and the destination wedding planning had begun!
The Midwest based couple knew that Sedona would be their perfect wedding location with it’s multitude of picture-ready locations, as well as the fact that Danielle’s dad is a Sedona local. The wedding weekend kicked off with their rehearsal dinner at Sky Ranch Lodge overlooking the natural beauty of Sedona. For their big day, the couple chose a Southwest theme filled with Arizona charm including teepees, native rugs over animal hides, cacti, and succulent plant accents in brass pots to shine in the natural late spring evening light completed by custom floral decor from Sedona Mountain High Flowers and captured by Jane in the Woods. Danielle and Irec’s Sedona Sacred Rocks Wedding was witnessed by the couple’s closest friends and family. After the wedding, the couple headed overseas to enjoy their new marital status in Italy followed by a boat excursion along the Amalfi coast for two weeks!
