With rich fall tones of emerald, golden mustard and deep burgundy, Maggie and Mark’s romantic and bold colored fall wedding at Tubac Golf Resort & Spa is simply stunning.
While the couple grew up in the same area and even shared similar friends, they never actually met until years later. After college Mark moved back east but was visiting Arizona for his best friend’s wedding. By chance Maggie happened to be at the same bar the wedding party was at for the after party. The two immediately hit it off and spent the next two days together.
For the next few months, the pair spent every day talking or face-timing until finally meeting up at Maggie’s family’s lake house in Michigan to decide if they were willing to dive into a full fledged long distance relationship. The second they saw each other, they knew no matter the distance that they were meant to be together especially since they were already falling in love.
Years later, a big move for Mark back to Arizona, a house and a fur-child, Mark knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Maggie. On a trip back to the lake house where they started their relationship, Mark realized it was the right time to propose surrounded by Maggie’s family. Only problem – he had left the ring in Arizona! A call later and an overnight shipment, with the ring in hand Mark dropped to one knee and asked Maggie to be his wife!
The couple planned a mini-destination wedding in Tucson, Arizona with 150 of their friends and family captured by Rachael Koscica Photography. As an artist, Maggie perfectly created the ultimate bold colored fall wedding with elements of velvet woven into the whole day, from her dress in their engagement photos to the ribbon on the invitations and welcome backs to the groom’s suit and bridesmaids gowns! Lush florals accented the rich color palette giving a romantic feel to the whole day! Personal touches were added into the day from the invitations created by the bride to her wearing her great grandmother’s ring to Mark’s dad officiating the wedding to hand written vows to a surprising “rap” by the maid of honor to the tune of “Ice, Ice, Baby.” The couple shut the party down and celebrate with their guests until everyone retired to their rooms at Tubac Golf Resort.
