Although they look a bit different in Arizona thanks to our all-year heat, winter weddings can be some of the most warm and gorgeous events. For Emma and Ian, the chilly Sedona weather of their December wedding not only made them want to get all sorts of warm and cozy, it reminded them of how they met. The couple met at a coffee shop, and the aroma of a fresh roast wasn’t the only thing in the air that day. After Ian suggested a new drink of choice for Emma to try, the two got to talking, and eventually their love of coffee turned into a love for each other. After a year of more romantic encounters, Ian decided to take the next step. He took Emma to her favorite Prescott hiking spot, and at a little bench near the top, he popped the question. He even shared the moment with her family, inviting her sisters to celebrate over some Mexican cuisine after the big moment.
After seven months of planning and preparation, Emma and Ian sealed the deal with an intimate Sedona wedding captured by Jane in the Woods, and it was magical. Their 25-person gathering took place at the L’Auberge de Sedona, where they were surrounded by family, friends and a gorgeous forest. The couple made sure their guests were comfortable and cozy with a blanket as a favor, and a s’mores bar for a bit of pre-wedding nourishment. Their ceremony was full of romance and happy tears, and once the couple exchanged vows and got bundled up, they danced the night away with their immediate family and closest friends. After a day of excitement, the couple enjoyed a relaxing honeymoon on the north shore of Kauai, and returned to Phoenix to begin their life together.
