When we say that brides dream of having a lavish white wedding, it’s usually implied there’s color involved in the decorations and the bridal party’s attire. However, some brides are taking that saying and quite literally getting lost in the white space — and we love it. There is something so difficult about finding the right white for your wedding, and these brides have become experts at pulling creamy hues to offset stark, ivory white, and balancing these with some touches of soft gray or deep black in their bridal party. It’s simple, elegant and classic, and yet there are so many different ways you can apply the right white to make your wedding shine.

No need to vie for attention among the vibrant blues, pinks or green of your wedding decorations or bridal party — with a purely white wedding, the couple stands out even more. Not only does it streamline attention to the most important part of the ceremony (the bride and groom), white puts focus on the color already present in the event, from the guest’s unique attire to a gorgeously prepared meal. While it will definitely highlight any messes made while celebrating, it more importantly makes for incredibly sophisticated black and white photos that don’t feel faded or like they’re missing an important aspect without color. Sometimes, the boldest style choice is to leave color out of the mix, and if you’re looking for a way to make your desert wedding still feel cosmopolitan, a black-and-white wedding might be right up your alley.
