This week, we are ecstatic to bring you this imported treat that will make you dream of the prim and proper lifestyle of the British Monarchy. Photographed by Rachel Leintz, this simply decadent photoshoot is reminiscent of old English glamour shrouded in layers of history. Traditionally, High Tea is a light meal served between 4PM and 6PM to stave off hunger between lunch and dinner. In the early 19th century, the Duchess of Bedford popularized High Tea time, as dinner often wasn’t served until 8PM. Usually savory and tart treats are served, but a wide variety of delicious finger foods are commonly accepted. While nowadays High Tea times do not necessarily correspond to those of old, it is still a delectable tradition that is beautifully showcased here.
Inspired by the event planner’s grandmother who immigrated to the United States at the age of 20, this photoshoot holds details very dear to her heart. The china tea set is similar to the one that her grandmother chose to bring over, despite only being able to bring a few items. Even the location of the photoshoot – Usery Pass Mountain area – is where her family hosted many of their parties and hikes. This personally inspired shoot is deeply steeped in love, tradition, and elegance. Rachel Leintz Photography captured all the stunning images. Bold navy and white set the palette standard with a sliver precious china tea set drawing the eye across the table. Maroon and bubblegum pink blossoms accent the table alongside elegant white stick candles. Sweet treats such as the blueberry-adorned cupcakes and chocolate-drizzled rice krispie treats are scrumptiously served in the photoshoot among silver platters and teapots. Altogether, we love the final product of this High Tea photoshoot in the Desert.
