A lot of people have asked me, what’re your plans for after the wedding? Well, I plan on parking my fit, and toned butt on a beach in St. Barths and drink fancy cocktails for about a week with my HUSBAND (wow.. that was really cool to say). Then I’ll be back at OrangeTheory Fitness doing my weekly routines. Why? Why not? Seriously, it’s the best work out. Why wouldn’t I keep up with it?

Since I’ve been consistently dedicated myself to workout 3-4 times/week and to eat a healthier diet, I’ve noticed not only a difference in my physique, but also my energy levels. I have so much more energy, I sleep better, I overall feel a lot better. It must be that adrenaline or runner’s high people talk about. In any event, I don’t want to give it up any time soon. I really enjoy that the OrangeTheory Fitness workouts are an hour. Breaking up the sessions between 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes strength training makes it go by quickly. I also love that there’s someone telling me what to do, and helping me with my form. I like being bossed around in the gym!

So am I going to keep it up? ABSOLUTELY! I don’t think I’ll cut back on the exercise at all after the wedding. It’s just too much fun. It also helps me mitigate some of the guilt I feel after eating something bad – especially on the weekends. If I feel like having a cheeseburger and fries, it’s OK because I’ll burn it up at OTF. And I’m going to be really selfish here, I really enjoy being skinny again! I can fit in my old, skinny clothes. It’s like having a whole new wardrobe that I don’t have to pay for. I feel better about myself, so why wouldn’t I continue? It’s not even a question.

However, I will be completely honest with you though, I’m going to have a “Welcome Back to Bacon” Party on June 8th. Since I’ve giving up bacon, fats, sugars, wheat, and dairy for the wedding, I’m going to need to bring back bacon and cheese into my life. It’s really sad and lonely without them. They’re like happy friends who’ve left me to chew on celery, apples and baked chicken for the next six weeks. These boring culinary companions just don’t satisfy me as much as bacon and cheese do.  It’s just so sad! So June 8th, 2013, I’m going to get the largest butcher’s board of assorted deli meats and cheeses that I can possibly find and stuff my face. I can’t wait… then June 9-15, I’ll be at Orange Theory Fitness twice a day every day to work it off. It’ll be totally worth it!

Question: What causes the pain in my side that occurs suddenly while I am running and how can I prevent it?

Answer: It has to do with insufficient oxygen to your lungs. If you are taking fast gasps off air this is why your getting side aches. Concentrate on taking steady large breaths of air. Make sure its consistent as well.
