Jessey and John’s fairytale fall wedding is straight out of a storybook! With sweet, intimate moments and picturesque details, their special day was a gem for Ryan Nicole to photograph in her dazzling style. The couple originally met at a bar in Old Town Scottsdale and hit it off immediately. They dated for a year and a half before John decided to propose. He waited until Jessey got off work in the evening. Jessey came home to a trail of 72 long-stem roses and dozens of tea candles that wound through the house, out the back door, and up to the lounge chairs by the pool. John invited Jessey to lay next to him in the same spot where they’d often look up at the night sky and hunt for shooting stars. As the sun set on the horizon, John popped the question to Jessey, who joyfully said yes.
The couple’s wedding was a spectacular event attended and supported by 120 of their friends and family members. A palette of soft yet whimsical colors were chosen for the wedding, including playful lavender, dusty grey, and deep magenta. A close family friend and mentor officiated the wedding which made the ceremony even more special to the couple. At the ceremony, everybody was on the dance floor most of the night. Jessey and John did get an opportunity to steal a moment together as they ate at their adorable sweetheart table. After the wedding, guests left with succulents for favors and the couple walked back to their honeymoon suite barefoot after an exhilarating night.
