A new “edgy” has been created within the last ten years. It is made up of a mixture of vintage, western and bohemian, and this photoshoot captures this new combination of styles as an edgy desert wedding inspiration! This edgy wedding/elopement was hosted at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona and planned by Jessica J. Events. The venue creates a beautiful outdoor space with the beauties of the desert as a background and setting for a ceremony and reception. From ball cacti to saguaro to prickly pear, the venue is lush with desert flora.
The photoshoot encompasses the natural colors of the Arizona desert including beige, green, brown with touches of dark red and plum. The color scheme is utilized through the florals, invitations, wardrobe for both the bride and the groom and setting décor. The florals for the bride’s bouquet combined soft cream roses, bold king protea, and a plethora of different eucalyptus varieties arranged by Moelleux Events and matched the setting perfectly. This arrangement brought in the green, white, red and plum colors of the desert nature, which helped tie the edgy desert theme of this photoshoot together with all the other elements.
If you were looking to add a little edge to your wedding day, why not grab a leather jacket for sunset pictures. The classic black of the leather adds a dark contrast to the white of a wedding gown. The natural light and the nature of the Desert Botanical Garden in this shoot helps bring the joy and love to life in each and every photo captured by Victoria Selman Photography.
