The month of December usually revolves around Christmas for most people, but this month has another special and heart-warming meaning to Melanie and Joe that doesn’t just involve the holidays, but rather their love for each other. After searching and connecting online through a well-known dating website, the two had made plans to have their first official date on December 14, 2014 and it couldn’t have turned out better. Grimaldi’s Pizza and an Arizona Coyotes hockey game set the tone for good times ahead.
After two years of a mostly long-distance relationship, Joe gave Melanie the best Christmas present she could ask for by proposing with the most gorgeous diamond in her hometown of Artesia, New Mexico with her family to witness. A year and five months later in May 2018 the couple had a quaint country wedding filled with nature at Hidden Valley Ranch in Cornville, AZ with Jane in the Woods Photography capturing all the beautiful day that planner Sloane Hansen had helped to create. The bride wore a strapless gown designed by Maggie Sottero with the bridesmaids looking romantic and elegant in blush tones, perfectly matching the bouquet as well as the rest of the florals from Events by Showstoppers. Although the wedding was one of the happiest moments of Joe and Melanie’s lives, by far the most important and memorable part of the day for these two was their First Look, which seemed to slow time for them both.
