We are loving this Coon Bluff engagement session shot by StepOnMe Photography! Alongside a beautiful waterfront, Samantha and Eddie look blissfully in love and their casual outfits showcase a bit of their personality. Next to the rocky stream, the couple looks serene and loving in slightly more formal get ups that complement their styles. The couple originally met through Samantha’s older brother but didn’t end up romantically involved until some time later. Although the pair frequently saw each other during the holidays, Eddie was in the Navy and was gone for long periods of time. While he was in Afghanistan, he sent Samantha’s older brother a couple gifts from Afghanistan and included a scarf to Samantha with a special letter just for her. This was the spark that started the regular conversations between the couple while Samantha was in Arizona and Eddie was in Afghanistan. Upon his return to America, the couple were finally able to have their first date – before Eddie went back to Washington. The pair resumed their long distance relationship for six more months while Eddie finished school and in the summer of 2015 they settled down in Arizona together.
Two years later, in the summer of 2017, Eddie became a commissioned officer in the Navy Reserve and had the ceremony in downtown Phoenix. Surrounded by the couple’s family and friends, Eddie thought it was the perfect time to propose. He even took the time to speak with Samantha’s father beforehand, since he wouldn’t be at the ceremony, but kept the secret from everyone else. During his speech to all his family and friends, he doled out many thanks and praise, leaving Samantha for last. He went over to her and brought her up to the front of the room with him, before dropping down on one knee and popping the big question. In front of all the people they cared for the most, Samantha and Eddie celebrated their engagement!
