This week we are adoring Charlotte and Connor’s summer wedding at The Legacy Ballroom. Having met in their youth group, the couple were high school sweethearts and stuck by each other through the years. The real test of their relationship came when Connor set off for school in New York. Though their long distance relationship presented many challenges, the couple’s immense love for each other only grew stronger. In the summer of 2016, Charlotte and Connor decided to spend the 4th of July in Laguna Nigel, California. Connor knew that this would be the perfect time to pop the question, and got down on one knee just after sunset, and Charlotte joyfully said yes. They got to celebrate their engagement with a stunning firework show.
The couple knew they wanted an organic feel for their summer wedding with 300 guests. The palette truly furthered this ideal with white and taupe for the main colors and accents in glittering gold and rosy pink. White and pink roses set atop weathered burlap runners brought the sweet yet natural decor together. The temperature was 117 degrees outside, which seemed to match the wedding date of 7/7/17. Nevertheless, Charlotte and Connor’s wedding turned out beautifully with help from The Legacy Ballroom. During the ceremony, Charlotte was brought to tears as she listened to her newly-wedded husband recite his vows. At the reception, Charlotte’s favorite memory was playing the shoe game, as it brought quite a good bout of laughter from all of the guests. As the night came to a close, the couple were cheered on by a sparkler send-off and retreated to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort.
