We could not wait to share with you the amazing experience we had at Luv Bridal today! With a very modern, very chic feel to the place, it was quite different than other boutiques we had frequented. With an emphasis on the “art” side of wedding dresses, this store is designed ground up to emulate a masterpiece gallery. It was so much fun visiting the boutique in the heart of Phoenix, and we know our Arizona brides who crave something a little more exotic are going to love what it has to offer.
We were talking to showroom manager Lindsay Burke about where Luv Bridal came from, and she shared with me that the company originally is from Australia. After operating successfully for over half a decade in numerous locations all over Australia, Luv Bridal decided to branch out into the United States. Their first choice? Phoenix, Arizona! “They just wanted to bring a unique customer service experience to the [Arizona] bridal industry,” said Lindsay as she pointed out the increasing success of the boutique. Now going three years strong in this country, Luv Bridal has since opened other bridal stores in various cities. Lindsay even helped to bring about the new San Diego branch.
While Luv Bridal only carries two designers (Madi Lane and Mia Solano), Lindsay noted that “our designs are a little different than what the other shops carry.” These are two brands that you will not find in any other bridal shops, which gives the boutique its own flair. Both designers carry their own unique sense of style that showcases a distinct taste, but still remain incredibly diverse. From shapely sheaths to tulle-filled ballgown styles, both brands take on a very upscale, princess vibe flavored with sweet boho chic elements. Also the dresses do not shy away from color! We saw varying shades of white, ivory, blush, and nude while getting the tour.
“We want every bride to walk through our doors and think they are entering this beautiful cloud of happiness,” mentioned Lindsay when telling us about the inspiration behind the store’s design. From the outside, the distressed brick styling of the building blends in with the historic Downtown Phoenix vibe of the area. Stunning, flowy dresses adorn the windows, hinting at the exciting experience that awaits brides-to-be. Once you enter, the magic is finally unveiled: a loft style room with open spaces greets brides and their entourages.
All the dress hang freely in the open – no cluttered racks are in sight. Lindsay called it a “beautiful chaos,” a mish-mash of differently styled dresses opposite an adorable lounge area. The picture-perfect lighting from above blends with the natural light from the windows, creating an ideal photoshoot space for you to try on your gowns. “The gowns are hung in such a way that they resemble artwork in a gallery…it’s not just racks on racks of dresses,” commented Lindsay about the boutique’s unique arrangement. “We want to showcase each dress like it’s a piece of art.”
Once a bride finds her favorite picks, she can take them in the back to try them on, and then walk out to view them in a full-length mirror in front of her bridal party. Brides even have a little pedestal to stand on to get the best views of the artwork that is the bridal gowns. It’s very reminiscent of Say Yes To The Dress but with an art gallery twist. As Lindsay put it, “It’s all about the bride feeling beautiful, as if she’s the only person in the whole store.”
