All you really need when putting a wedding together are you and your loved one and support from the special people in your life. That’s why we are obsessed with this bohemian backyard wedding planned completely by the bride herself! McKenna and Jerry met nearly five years before their winter wedding, while they were working at the same restaurant in college, however, the pair did not start dating until fall of 2016. Six months after that, Jerry surprised McKenna at her apartment with roses, champagne and a big question – to which she immediately answered yes!
McKenna started planning their bohemian backyard wedding all on her own. “I have always been a big planner. I have looked forward to it my whole life,” McKenna said. “I am amazed at how perfectly everything came together.” The couple’s specially homegrown wedding is a gorgeous sight to see! McKenna’s brother’s backyard was transformed into a desert dream. The bride’s stepfather and biological father walked her down the aisle of opulent patterned rugs. The natural foliage served as the perfect backdrop for the white fringe altar where the couple joined together as one, with McKenna’s brother as the officiant. The striking pair looked happily in love as they celebrated their special day with friends and family. Many of the one hundred guests gave touching speeches about the sweet couple while others munched on the almost as sweet donut wall from Bosa Donuts. StepOnMe Photography captured the entire day from the start to the couple’s glow stick exit. After the wedding the couple took a short road trip to Long Beach where they got on a cruise to Mexico.
