Check out Katie and Kyle’s Arizona springtime wedding captured by Rachel Solomon Photography. Over 10 years ago, the couple met while working part time at a summer camp for children. After a year of being friends, they agreed to further their relationship and began dating. Several years full of highs and lows strengthened their bond, and on Halloween Kyle decided to pop the question. The original plan was to have Kyle’s friend wait outside of the Halloween party and look out for a large group of kids who could all carry signs spelling out “Will you marry me.” When none were to be found, Kyle chose instead to pass out the signs among their guests. As Katie realized what was going on, she was so surprised and excited that she kept asking, “Is this really happening?” When Kyle got down on one knee in front of their friends, Katie couldn’t help but say yes!
The soft, flowy details of Katie and Kyle’s springtime wedding transport you out of the desert and onto lush lawns for an elegant affair. Flowing florals and greenery with succulent accents provided a fun twist on typical Arizona weddings. A wooden altar and ivory linens with lanterns placed about the ceremony created a romantic scene as the couple read their personal vows to each other. While the couple incorporated their parent’s Catholic background into their wedding, they still personalized it for a more intimate, relax day. At the reception, guests lounged under a sprawling tent at very modern-minimalistic yet romantic tables set with white linens, floating candles, garden roses, and succulents. Hues of blush worked to brighten the space. The whole day was absolutely magical, and Katie and Kyle thoroughly enjoyed their honeymoon the next week in Antigua.
